While the Pakistan government continues to harp on its "successes" in Kargil, Pakistani writers are admitting that not only was Pakistan's misadventure a diplomatic disaster for Pakistan, but also that the world is no longer sympathetic to the cause of religious militancy. The growing realisation that only peace can win the day for Pakistan and India in the long-term is fast gaining ground among Pakistani writers. |
