3 Jammu Youth 'who Were Hizb Insurgents Held With Arms' In Kashmir Capital

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police have busted an insurgent module in capital Srinagar, sources said on Wednesday. Sources told Kashmir Dispatch that police have arrested three local insurgents, who were part of Hizbul Mujahideen, after they established a check point in capital's Bemuen locality. All the three alleged insurgents are from Kishtwar in Jammu division, sources told Kashmir Dispatch. Sources say they arrested Riyaz Ahmad Wani, Ikhlaq Ahmad Khanday- both residents of Dachan and Tosweef ul Nabi, a resident of Kishtwar town. Police sources said they recovered 2 Chinese pistols, 20 rounds of Pistol, 4 Grenades, a wireless set and one packet of explosive from the alleged insurgents. Highly placed sources said that the arrested insurgents were working with Jehangir Saroori, one of the longest surviving insurgent commanders in Jammu division. Saroori, according to sources is the operational chief of Hizbul Mujahideen for Jammu division. 'He is on NIA radar since long and has been charged of providing logistics for the Delhi bomb blast that killed 15 and injured 80,' sources added.
