Srinagar: Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Thursday held a press conference in Srinagar cautioning the government against allowing any conference being organised by Mirzayees or Qaidyanees, under the disguise of Islam. Attended by a number of Islamic scholars and other dignitaries, Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi, Shaikhul Hadees Darul Uloom Raheemiya said that any such attempt by the government will be dealt with strongly and any law and order problem resulting thereof shall be liable on government. Qasmi said that such attempts are a serious threat to the Muslim majority state of Jammu and Kashmir. 'There is a certain design behind these events,' he said. Elaborating that Kashmir has since long been under the attack of Mirzayees, Mufti Qasmi said that during the Dogra rule a committee by the name of 'Kashmir Committee' was formed to apparently free Kashmir from Dogra rule and Allama Iqbal was made its secretary general. However, their job was to lure people of Kashmir towards Mirzaiyat. 'However Moulana Anwar Shah Kashmiri cautioned Iqbal and then he parted ways from it,' he said. Mufti Qasmi said that they are holding it under the name of Islam and we have every right to corner them. 'Let them declare they are not Muslims and then we have no objections against their seminars and symposiums' Moulana Qasmi said that according to informed sources government has not allowed them to hold such symposium here but they should declare it through media. 'If government has surely not allowed such thing then it is highly appreciable.' Moulana Abdul Raheem while lambasting the government said that how is government allowing such people to hold these symposiums who have abused and accused our beloved Prophet (SAW) and his companions. Calling Mirzayees 'terrorists' who don't want peace to prevail in the valley, he warned government of severe repercussions if such symposium was allowed. Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi, Shaikhul Hadees Darul Uloom Raheemiya, Mufti Muzaffar Hussain Qasmi, Mufti Abdul Raheem Qasmi, Mufti Abdul Rasheed Miftahi, Moulana Hameedullah Lone and other numerous Ulema and dignitaries from civil society participated in the conference.
