Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Casual Labourers and Daily Wagers Forum- an amalgam of various daily wagers associations- Friday began an indefinite hunger strike at Pratap Park here, seeking framing of policy for regularization of their services. Chief of the Association, Sajad Ahmad Parray told media persons that they have been observing peaceful protests and dharnas for past several years to press for their demands. 'This is fast unto death as every time the assurances from authorities to meet our demands has proved hoax. Even, the assurance from Finance Minister during last assembly session that High Power Committee would be set up to recommend the policy for regularization of our services is yet to be implemented,' he added. Protestors raising anti- government slogans said that Mufti- led government has done nothing for the betterment of daily wagers as PDP and BJP had assured during the elections. The protestors were raising slogans: 'With the arrival of Mufti, good days have gone.'
