Udhampur: Over half-a-dozen people in the Kashmir Valley are under the scanner of the National Investigation Agency for suspected links with the alleged Pakistani LeT terrorist Mohammed Naved, who was arrested following an attack on a Border Security Force convoy in Udhampur on Wednesday. In coordination with the J&K Police, the NIA has launched a hunt for the local people who are suspected to have extended logistical support to the LeT module. Among them is a 'contact' in Srinagar who provided financial support to an accomplice of Naved. According to security agencies, no further arrests have been made yet. However, on Saturday, Naved was taken to the Valley to identify the places where he had stayed and received weapons. He would be confronted with all the suspects. After the NIA took over investigations, Naved was taken to Tamatar Mod in Patnitop, where he along with another terrorist Noman, alias Nomi, was dropped in a truck the night before they struck on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. During interrogation, Naved has purportedly disclosed that he met about a dozen terrorists during his stay in the Valley. He, along with Nomi, Ukasha and Mohammed Bhai, sneaked into the country by crossing Fajja Top near Tangmarg on June 2. They used GPS location trackers and maps. The terrorists reached a rendezvous point, where they were received by two local guides. The terrorists then reached Bara Reshi near Tangmarg on June 9 where their contact named Ashiq Batt, alias Obaida, received them and made arrangements for their further travel and stay in a nearby village. On July 23-24, he then set out for another place and from there he was taken to Khudwani village in Kulgam where he met the local LeT handler Qasim. Two days before the attack, one Bashir met Naved and Nomi and arranged a truck for their travel from Kazigund to Ramban. The next day they crossed the toll plaza at Jawahar tunnel and in the evening, they reached Ramban and then proceeded to Tamatar Mod where they hid in a nearby jungle till daybreak.
