Srinagar: Seven people were feared dead after a house collapsed due to incessant rains in Jammu & Kashmir's Doda district on Friday. Doda police chief Javed Naseeb Manhas said rescues were unlikely to find any survivors as the seven remained buried under the debris. 'Despite being a remote and inaccessible area, a police team managed to reach the spot. So far we have not recovered any body. We fear all the inmates might have died during the collapse,' he added. Reports said the house belonged to one Jodh Ram. Separately, two people, Mohammad Dilawar Mir and Abdul Jabbar War, were killed after they were buried under a landslide at Uri in north Kashmir's Baramulla district. On March 31, 16 people were killed when a landslide buried a house in central Kashmir's Budgam area. The incessant rains have so far claimed 18 lives in Jammu & Kashmir.
