Terrorist Ambush CRPF Convoy In Jammu And Kashmir, Two Injured

Srinagar: A group of suspected terrorists launched an audacious and daring attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vehicle by setting it on fire, injuring two jawans on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway in Anantnag district, reports stated on Saturday. 'Two CRPF jawans were injured today (Saturday) evening when militants fired at a CRPF vehicle at Lev dora (Qazigund) on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway in Anantnag district,' a senior police officer said. According to reports, the injured troopers, part of a CRPF patrol in the area deployed to provide security to traffic on the highway, have been taken to hospital. The militants however escaped taking advantage of darkness, police said, adding search operations have been launched in the area to nab the assailants.
