Guv Appeals For Normalcy

Srinagar: Governor N N Vohra has appealed for normalcy on Baltal route. According to a spokesman of Raj Bhawan, on being informed about a disharmonious incident between two Yatra Service Providers at the Baltal yatra camp, governor, who is also the chairman, of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, asked the chief executive officer of the board, . Rakesh Kumar Gupta, to immediately proceed to the camp and see that harmony is fully restored with the help of district administration. 'Governor also discussed the matter with the chief minister, Omar Abdullah, under whose direction the Divisional Commissioner (Kashmir), Shailendra Kumar, and IGP (Kashmir) Abdul Gani Mir, also rushed to Baltal. The governor also spoke to the president of SABLO, the apex Langar organization, Vijay Thakur, and urged him to ensure restoration of harmony, essential for the satisfactory progress of Yatra. Rajnath reviews Baltal situation: The union home minister, Rajnath Singh today in a telephonic conversation with the chief minister Omar Abdullah, discussed the reports of clashes in Baltal area of J&K. Omar Abdullah appraised Rajnath Singh about the situation and informed that the state government has sent officials to the spot for necessary action, said a press release by PIB. Rajnath Singh asked Omar to take all necessary steps to control the situation in the Baltal area.
