Srinagar: Stating that differences between Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ai Geelani and Jamat-e-Islami (JeI) over Hyderpora property is expected to be resolved in next week, Jamaat Ameer Mohammad Abdullah Wani Saturday reiterated his claim that the property belongs to Jamaat and the party can only decide about it. “The recent meet held between senior JeI members and Huriyat (G) leaders deliberated in detail over the issue and further discussion over the matter is expected in the coming days. Geelani has written a letter to JeI stating that the issue must be resolved after his return from Delhi,” Wani said. He said it is the official stand of JeI that the Hyderpora property that presently is in the possession of Geelani belongs to the party and Hurriyat (G) chief is its lifelong custodian. “Afterwards Jamaat shoora (Advisory council) will decide about the future course for this property,” Wani said. He said during the meet scheduled to be held between senior JeI members and Geelani next week, the party will try to resolve the issue at the earliest. Wani said Geelani is guardian of the property and cannot donate it to a trust or anybody else. Hurriyat (G) chairman has decided to donate the property to a trust run by his relatives.
