Srinagar: Coming down heavily on the German Ambassador Michael Steiner for funding the developmental works in Kashmir, the separatist camp of valley Wednesday accused that the same is being done under a planned conspiracy. The German Ambassador, who was the brain behind the music concert of internationally acclaimed orchestra conductor Zubin Mehta in September this year, came under criticism for organizing event. Michael Steiner recently inaugurated a mini solar plant donated by the German Embassy in a remote village of the state. The Dukhtaran-e-Milat Chairperson Asiya Andrabi said that the move is aimed to eradicate the cultural and moral ethics in Kashmir and that the youth of the region must not be trapped by such tactics. “It is a global conspiracy to uproot the cultural values of Kashmir, and the donation of the solar plant and other social works being done by Germany is nothing but the conspiracy.” The DEM chairperson said, “This is aimed to spread immorality in Kashmir, the European countries have hand in glove with Delhi for the same.” The Huriyat Conference (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar stated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir must not be trapped by such moves and that everything here is being done under the planned conspiracy. “It is really sad that instead of expressing their serious concerns about the Kashmir dispute, the European countries have busied their selves for the non issues.” Democratic Freedom Party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah while expressing concern over the reports mentioned that the people of Kashmir will never fall in such traps and that the international community must concentrate for the resolution of Kashmir at the earliest. “The people here do not need solar lights; they need peace acceptable to them and the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.”
