Srinagar: Mirwaiz led All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Monday made it clear that the solution of Kashmir issue lies either in UN resolutions or tripartite talks involving Pakistan India and the people of Kashmir. The APHC at a joint meeting of its Executive and General Councils presided over by its Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in Srinagar said that Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and Assembly or Parliament elections can’t dilute its disputed character. During the meeting it was reiterated that Elections can’t be substitute to plebiscite. “The solution of Kashmir issue lies either in UN resolutions or tripartite talks involving Pakistan India and the people of Kashmir. It said that the meaningful dialogue is key to its resolution. During the meeting APHC decided to observe Human Rights Week from December 5 to 10 and hold different programmes like seminars and rallies to draw world attention towards discovery of thousands of unmarked mass graves, custodial disappearances and other human rights abuses perpetrated by Indian troops in the occupied territory. “The APHC will hold a seminar in Kupwara and Anantnag on December 5 and 6 while on December 8 Human Rights Activists and Civil Society members will express their view and thoughts at the seminar that will be conducted at Hurriyat Headquarters located at Raj Bagh. During the meeting it was decided to organize a photo exhibition relating to rights abuses on December 9 while on International Day of Human Rights that falls on December 10, APHC will organize a peaceful sit Srinagar.
