Srinagar: Reiterating that Kashmir is directly affected by the escalation of tension along the LoC, Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq today said solution of Kashmir issue through dialogue between all the stake holders to the dispute has become inevitable. Addressing a gathering at the shrine of Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) in Charar-e-Sharief, Mirwaiz said tension on LoC apart from affecting Kashmiris, also had negative fallout on the relations between India and Pakistan. He said justice and humanity demands that Kashmir issue should be solved according to the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people. Mirwaiz stressed that Kashmir issues remains pending disposal since 1947. He said no electoral process can change this basic reality. Hurriyat (M) chairman said the elections in the world have been the vehicles of change, but in Kashmir they have been used to subvert the truth and impose stooges of the choice on the people. “Hurriyat has repeatedly put forth the truth behind these elections before the world and now the revelations by the former army chief Gen V K Singh has substantiated Hurriyat's true speak. Former general has unmasked the name sake democratic process as he has aptly pointed out how the loyalty of so called main stream politicians was bought against monetary considerations from time to time,” Mirwaiz said. He added that in reality, these parties are representing Indian vested interest in Kashmir. Expressing concern over this phenomenon, he said these parties and governments framed by them were involved in bloodshed of Kashmiris and providing protection to Indian troops involved in ghastly abuse of human rights violations in Kashmir. Hurriyat (M) chairman made it once again clear that it is the imperative wish of the people of Kashmir that Kashmir dispute be solved through a meaningful and result oriented dialogue. He said in case India and Pakistan seriously pursue the talks to address Kashmir issue then Hurriyat would extend its full support to the process. Hurriyat (M) chairman said aspirations of people cannot be suppressed on gunpoint or through military might. He said Afghanistan and Palestine are the prime examples in this regard where the stakeholders have finally taken course to talks to solve these issues. Mirwaiz said that Kashmiri voice cannot be choked and strangulated through terror and suppression. He said the international community is aware of the fact that Worlds third largest Army despite unleashing interminable oppression from decades on has been unable to defeat the Kashmiri aspirations of our people. He said Kashmiris were not against any nation or religion, but they are demanding their rights and fulfillment of the pledges made to them.
