Karbalie Elected CEC LAHDC Kargil

Kargil: Congress leader Haji Asgar Ali Karbalie was elected as Chairman- Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil. Deputy Commissioner, Fida Hussain, who also serves as Chief Executive Officer of LAHDC (Kargil), declared his name at Conference Hall Baroo during the first general meeting of the newly elected Councilors. His name was first proposed by the Councilor Stakchey Khangral, Advocate Mohammad Amir, and was supported by Councilor Ranbirpura Drass Haji Shafi and all the 12 Councilors of Congress and its alliance. Karbalie assured people that he will work for the prosperity and development of the district. Councilors of National Conference did not attend the meeting. Later Karbalai went to Council Secretariat and assumed the chair of Chairman-CEC LAHDC. Earlier on Sunday, Principal and Session Judge Kargil administered oath to all the 30 councilors of LAHDC Kargil.
