Srinagar: Stating that bilateral talks between India and Pakistan won’t serve any purpose, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Kashmir Tuesday said both countries should take up rational approach with respect to Kashmir Issue. “Unless and until the issue is addressed as per the aspiration of people of Jammu and Kashmir, there are less chances of prevalence of political stability in the region”, said a resolution passed unanimously in the executive council of Tehreek e Hurriyat, which was chaired by Syed Ali Geelani. The resolution cautioned India and Pakistan that stability and prosperity of both countries will remain a dream and the chances for peace and tranquility are bleak until the Kashmir issue is resolved as per wishes and aspirations of people of J&K. The resolutions adopted and passed said bilateral talks between the two countries may serve some provisional and material gains for both but it won’t serve any purpose if the prime party and their aspiration were ignored. “People of Jammu and Kashmir are principal party to the issue and any solution forced against the aspiration of the people won’t be accepted nor the people could be forced to give off or call back their struggle.” The executive council appealed India and Pakistan to give up their stubborn approach and urged Islamabad to adopt responsible, affectionate and realistic approach. The resolution asked both countries that the final and permanent settlement of the issue would relieve out the charged and uneasiness atmosphere and pave way for resolution of all their domestic problems. “The ongoing struggle is neither impressed by sectarian passions nor in no way is a retaliation or overwhelmed by vengeance against any group or society”. “Jammu and Kashmir neither remained a part of India nor is now a part of India. The present turmoil in state is an outcome of subjugation and against all norms and policy of division, the state was handed over to India through deceitful politics ,” it said. Referring to history, the resolution said factors like nexuses between Britain and Indian national Congress, Sheikh Abdullah’s lust for power and deceitful politics played a key role in strengthening India’s hold on J&K. “India was in a position to grab it through its might and military power”. Vowing to continue their struggle, the executive council unanimously declared that India is subjugating the genuine voice through its military power and plays foxy politics. “Delhi has unleashed a reign of terror and under the agenda of cultural aggression, sponsors and patronize waywardness, nudity, and promotes drug intoxication among youth”. “In order to overpower the sentiments of youth, government brought changes in education system. The mass killing and rehabilitation of outsiders in the state is their game plan and agencies are hell-bent to change the demography of the State,” it said adding lakhs of labourers, artisans, nomads and beggars are being pushed into state in a calculated manner as a result of which social fabric and economy of the state has deteriorated. Stating that people of Jammu and Kashmir were not against the Amaranth Yatra, the resolution stressed that the Yatra needed to be managed on Utrakhand pattern. “India is politicizing the religious pilgrimage to further its sinister designs and political agenda. The number of yatris and extending the specified period of yatra by two months will have adverse effect on the ecology of the State”. It said the Yatra period should be limited to 15 days and number of yatris should be allowed as already done in Gangotri in Uttaranchal. “The secret hanging of Mohammad Afzal Guroo was a blot on democracy of India,” the resolution alleged adding natural resources and forests are at the verge of extinction and power resources were exploited by Indian government and its forces. While blaming the forces for deforestation, it alleged that 28 lakh Kanals of agricultural and forest land has been occupied by forces Tehreek Hurriyat appealed people to extend their support to the ongoing movement. “People should follow teachings of Holly Quran and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) with devotion and sincere heart”.
