Jammu: Dubbing the Hizbul Mujahideen chief and so called supreme commander of the United Jehad Council as a puppet surviving under patronage of Pakistani Army, the Jammu and Kashmir unit of Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Maha Sabha has challenged Syed Salahuddin to come to Kashmir and face the realities on the ground. Reacting to the statement of Salahuddin on representatives of Panchayats, the Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha has said that survival of people like Salahuddin and his mentors in Pakistani is entirely on unrest and instability in Kashmir. “Every time people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the Valley, have reiterated their faith in the Indian democracy, the Pakistani cohorts have done everything possible to derail the process”, said Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, the leader of Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha while talking to the media persons in Jammu on Sunday. Poswal said that courageous people with will, determination and conviction do not take refuge in tents of Pakistani Army which has already mortgaged its conscious in part to America and in part to its own economic ambitions. “People like Salahuddin who make big statements are not any leaders of Kashmir but merely small time pawns on the chessboards of Pakistani Army and its deadly intelligence agency the ISI”, Poswal said and pointed out that “one their relevance is over, their survival is also over”. Poswal challenged Salahuddin to come to Jammu and Kashmir and participate in the political process to prove his leadership which he claims from across the border while sitting in protection and under patronage of Pakistani Army. He said if Salahuddin is a true Kashmiri he should come and meet the Sarpanchs and Panchs across the Valley and know from them why people voted in big numbers in the Panchayat elections. He said that duplicity of the people like Salahuddin and his mentors is fully exposed when they make attempts to subvert will of the people of Kashmir. Salahuddin had issued threatening calls asking the people to boycott the Panchayat elections but no one in Kashmir cared about that. The Hizb-UJC calls made at the behest of Pakistani Army and ISI met humiliating fate when more than 80% people voted for the Panchayat elections. Now having suffered worst humiliation ever at the hands of people of Kashmir who reiterated their faith in the Indian democracy, Salahuddin and his mentors are trying to scare the Sarpanchs and Panchs by making threatening statements. Poswal said that while Salahuddin’s threats are as hollow is his ideals, the real regret is with the National Conference-Congress coalition government while allows people like Salahuddin to be discussed seriously in the political circles. He said that it is non-seriousness of the state government about the Panchayats which is giving opportunity to people like Salahuddin to exploit the situation. “The members of the Panchayats have already made it known to everyone that their faith in the Indian democratic system is full and final but the state government is still taking them lightly”, said Poswal.
