Srinagar: A day after hard hitting statement of Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani, ruling National Conference Additional General Secretary Mustafa Kamal Monday accused the senior separatist leader of being scared of dialogue. “This hardliner (Geelani) and his ilk is so scared to come on the negotiating table that they some way or the other are trying to shy away from it without understanding that it adds to the problems faced by the people of the state”, Kamal said in a statement issued here. He said since the funds from their bosses across the border have stopped and have been left to fend for himself, he has been issuing inappropriate statements. “Since he has been rendered irrelevant, he has become a lose canon”. Welcoming Indo Pak talks and its positive outcome, Kamal said, “The two countries have realised that dialogue is the only way forward but the hardliners here want to keep the pot boiling and the uncertainty to continue” He welcomed the Mirwaiz Farooq’s statement that they were ready for talks. “The good senses should prevail on the others as well and they should understand that talks are the only that could lead to a purposeful solution of the issue”. Kamal reiterated party’s stand that autonomy is the only solution that can create an atmosphere of peace and brotherhood.
