Srinagar: Emphasizing need for the economic independence of the state, Peoples Conference (S) Chairman Sajad Gani Lone has said that contesting elections is an internal matter of the Hurriyat Conference. Addressing a press conference at his Sanat Nagar residence, Sajad Lone defended his decision to contest Parliamentary Elections and pledged to work hard for the upcoming Municipal elections in the state. This is the main agenda of our party”, Sajad added. In every sphere of life here, police and security forces are involved. It is our pledge to get the state out of this administrative and political mess”, the PC Chairman said. Stressing the need to get qualified and honest people into the politics of the state Sajad said that it is his endeavor to encourage such people. “We will make sure that honest and educated people come into politics.
