Mirpur: Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed here Sunday assured to Mangla dam affectees as well as the displaced families of Jammu & Kashmir refugees for timely completion of the rehabilitation of Mangla dam affectess.Talking to various delegations of Mangla dam affectees here, Majeed said that all the due rights of Mangla Dam raising project affectees would be fully provided. He said that with the liberal financial assistance of the government of Pakistan, his government is fully committed to complete the process of resettlement and rehabilitation of the affectees of the Mangla dam raising project on time.Mangla dam resettlement oranization and the WAPDA have already been given the standing instructions to this effect and considerable achievement vis-'-vis rehabilitation of the Mangla dam raising project affectees at their alternative latest abodes including New Mirpur city and four small towns one each at Islamgarh, Siakh, Chakswari and Dadayal has yet emerged positively, he added.The AJK prime minister said the provision of liberal financial assistance by the incumbent PPP government of Pakistan under the dynamic leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and the Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani was the ample proof of this fact that the government had always taken keen interest for the overall development and progress of AJK.In this connection he refered to the recent launching of mega development projects by the government of Pakistan including two medical colleges and the proposed international airport at Mirpur to facilitate the millions of Kashmiri expatriates hailing from Mirpur and mostly those inhibiting United Kingdom, he maintained.
