Srinagar: J&K police have booked seven people for allegedly 'luring' nine Kashmiris to convert to Christianity under a local priest's guidance at Srinagar's All Saints Church. Sources said the police were also likely to act against the priest - Chander Mani Khanna - for luring the nine into converting by offering money. 'Keeping in view the sensitivity of the issue, police have registered an FIR against those named for conversions,' a police officer said on the condition of anonymity. Sources said the decision to book the seven was taken at the highest level to avoid possible unrest in the Valley. Grand mufti Bashir-ud-din had earlier summoned Khanna to appear before his sharia court on November 12 to explain the allegations. The priest wrote to the Mufti, saying he would be able to meet him on November 15 to sort out the issue.
