Srinagar: A Sikh body in the Kashmir valley, despite the ongoing turmoil, on Sunday urged the Pandits “to take the bold step and return to defeat communal forces and anti-Kashmir elements”. “Every peace loving Kashmiri urges the Kashmiri Pandit brothers time and again to come back with honor. The Sikhs of Kashmir have been asking the same from them since day one when they left their homes,” said All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee Kashmir (APSCC) chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina in a statement. The Sikh body’s message came in the backdrop of a 'havan' organized by the Pandits for peace in the state, which was organized by the Zeashta Devi Prabandak Committee at Zeathyar, Srinagar, on Sunday. “No one can be happier than the Sikhs. We will receive them (Pandits) from the Jawahar tunnel, if they decide to come back. No force can stop them if they take this bold step, which in my opinion will be the biggest victory over communal forces and anti-Kashmir elements,” said Raina. The Sikh body spokesman said the Sikhs of Kashmir will once again play a vital role in bringing the Kashmiri Pundits back. “We will play the role that was one played by the 9th Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji some 333 years ago,” said Raina. Describing Kashmiriat incomplete without the Pandits, Raina said,“Not only the Sikhs want the Pundits to come back but also at many occasions all factions of the Muslim community, separatist and from main stream, visited their areas,” said Raina. Raina warned the anti-Kashmir elements to stop the anti-Kashmir propaganda across India and abroad, “which is the basic root cause of uncertainty among the people of Kashmir from all walks of life”. Raina urged the people from all faiths, especially the Kashmiri Pandits, to play their role in rebuilding the strong economy, the educational system of scattered Kashmir and also to help in resolving all disputes related to Kashmir.Valley Sikhs back return of Kashmiri Pandits HT Correspondent Srinagar A Sikh body in the Kashmir valley, despite the ongoing turmoil, on Sunday urged the Pandits “to take the bold step and return to defeat communal forces and anti-Kashmir elements”. “Every peace loving Kashmiri urges the Kashmiri Pandit brothers time and again to come back with honor.
