Musharraf Caused Irreparable Loss To Kashmir Issue: Raja Zafarul Haq5 February 2011

Islamabad: Chairman Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (PML-N) Raja Zafarul Haq Saturday said that former dictator Pervez Musharraf had caused irreparable loss to Kashmir issue. He stated this during his address to a special function held about Kashmir Solidarity Day at PML-N Secretariat. Raja Zafarul Haq said that those including Musharraf damaged the Kashmir issue faced defeat in their purposes. The history witnessed that PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif had announced public holiday on February 05. However, Musharraf tried to end functions on Kashmir Day and even registered cases against the PML-N workers under Terrorism Act for staging rallies on Kashmir Solidarity Day, the PML-N Chairman added. Pervez Musharraf who sabotaged the struggle of the Kashmiris could not return to the country; the dictator had adopted very weak foreign policy to prolong his rule, he underlined. Haq made it clear that solution of the Kashmir issue would be acceptable which will accordance to the United Nations resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people. The PML-N will provide all possible cooperation for the freedom of occupied Kashmir. Pakistani political parties have different manifesto but they are united for the freedom of Kashmir and there is no differences over this issue, he noted. He said that the people of Pakistan were fully supporting the struggle of the Kashmiri brothers and sisters for their freedom. He noted that the PML was also set up in Turkey, Egypt and Sri Lanka and it is still functioning in Bangladesh. He said that according to the constitution, Kashmiris would decide to join Pakistan after their freedom. Nawaz Sharif will get free occupied Kashmir like Quaid-e- Azam who attained Pakistan; the PML-N will set up government after upcoming elections in AJK, Raja Zafarul Haq hoped. Addressing the gathering, PML-N leader Sadiqul Farooq said that the PML-N was formed in AJK, adding that it basic reason was that the Muslim Conference party ignored the Kashmir issue. PML-N AJK chapter spokesman Shah Gghulam Qader said the PML-N has reached Line of Control and hoped that now there is hope of progress in the solution of Kashmir issue. He hoped that the PML-N would gain majority in the upcoming elections in AJK. In the conclusion, Raja Zafarul Haq along with other leaders chanted Kashmir Zinda abad slogans.
