Muzaffarabad: The Opposition in Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly moved no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Sardar Muhammad Yaqub Khan here on Monday. Apparently it seems an effort to block formation of Muslim League (N) and split Muslim Conference has got united to replace AJK PM Sardar Yaqub by Raja Farooq Hadier Khan. The no-confidence motion was moved by Muslim Conference, Attique Group, MLA Ghulam Murtaza Gilani which was duly signed by all 17 members of the group. LA Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir has summoned the session of the assembly for voting on no-confidence move on Thursday, October 15. It is worth mentioning here that Sardar Yaqub assumed the office of prime minister in January 2009 after a breakaway faction of Muslim Conference led by Raja Farooq Hadier voted out then prime minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan. Now Raja Farooq has surrendered the presidentship of his own faction of Muslim Conference and accepted Opposition Leader in LA Sardar Attique as chief of United Muslim Conference. Meanwhile, in another development, AJK Minister for Revenue and Education has tendered his resignation alleging PM Yaqub for adopting weak stance over national and party issues.
