27 trucks exchange sides on LoC

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU: Twenty seven trucks today exchanged sides from Chakan-Da-Bagh cross-LoC point on weekly Poonch-Rawlakote route as business worth Rs 1.42 crore was conducted by the traders of two parts of the divided State. Official sources said only two trucks carrying coconut left Poonch for Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) today. Contrary to this, 25 trucks reached Poonch from PoK carrying dal moong and almonds. Exports from Poonch to PoK were valued at Rs 12.40 lakh while imports from PoK were to the tune of Rs 1.30 crore. Total trade today on Poonch-Rawlakote route was worked out at Rs 1.42 crore. Mahavir Prasad Meena, Trade Facilitation Officer (TFO), Poonch and Khadim Bukhari, TFO Hajeera (PoK) were present at Chakan-Da-Bagh during cross-LoC trade.
