Militant Hideout Busted; Arms Recovered In Kashmir

Srinagar: Security forces have destroyed a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunition in Charar-e-Sharief area of central Kashmir's Budgam district, a police spokesman said here on Friday. 'During search operation carried out by Pakherpora police and 53 Rashtriya Rifles in village Nagbal, falling under Charar-e-Sharief police station, security forces recovered a pistol, a magazine, eight rounds of ammunition, five Chinese hand grenades, an IED and a detonator from the area,' the spokesman said. The recovered arms and ammunition were destroyed on the spot, he said, adding police have registered a case in this regard.
