Srinagar: Lashkar-e-Taiba today condemned the serial blasts in Delhi terming them un-Islamic and said attempts to link it with the act was a move by India to malign the freedom movement in Kashmir. Lashkar spokesman, Dr Abdullah Gaznavi said in a statement that his group’s target was Indian armed forces and not the innocent civilians. ”We are Kashmir based organization and we carry out operations against occupational forces only”, he said adding attempts by the Indian government to link Lashkar with terrorist acts was an attempt to distort the truth and malign the freedom struggle of Kashmiris. ”The Lashker-e-Taiba was not even remotely involved in the serial blasts as we consider such acts that target innocent civilian as un-Islamic', Abdullah said. 'It is unfair to link the outfit with these blasts. We do not believe in triggering explosions at public places to kill innocent people,' he said, adding 'Islam is a religion of peace and does not allow targeting of innocent people through such acts.'
