Javed Mir Protests Against Transfer Of Forest-land

Srinagar: Senior Hurriyat Conference (M) leader and chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Forum, Javed Ahmad Mir along with dozens of activists held a protest demonstration on Thursday at Lal Chowk here against the “illegal” transfer of forest-land by Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). Speaking on the occasion, Mir said that government of India is adopting the policy of Israel in Kashmir. He warned such acts could not help India to achieve their goal. “We want peaceful solution of Kashmir dispute by trilateral talks and aspiration of 13 million people of J&K,” he said. Mir also condemned the police action against protesting employees. He expressed solidarity with Kashmiri employees organizations and traders associations. He urged international community to pressurize Government of India to stop human rights violations by Indian troops and security agencies in J&K. He said that Kashmir is 60- year old long-standing issue and people of J&K have offered supreme sacrifices for independence and settlement of K-issue.
