Gilani assures support to AJK govt

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday said Pakistan wanted an expeditious, just and peaceful solution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Talking to President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Zulqarnain Khan, the prime minister said sustainable peace in South Asia could not be achieved without the settlement of the Kashmir dispute. He assured the AJK president that Pakistan would continue to provide maximum support to Azad Kashmir for development projects, including for reconstruction work in the quake-hit areas besides providing employment opportunities to the people of the AJK.
