Kashmir Minister Rules Out Talks With Foreign Militants
2 March 2008
Srinagar: The pro-India Kashmir minister has ruled out holding any dialogue with the foreign militants active in Kashmir. Deputy chief minister of Kashmir, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh said, 'There can be no talks with the foreign militants active in Kashmir. Those who call Pakistan president Parvez Musharraf an infidel; those who gunned down Benazir Bhutto; and, those who are themselves enemies of Pakistan, can not be associated with any dialogue process'. 'They would be searched and killed by Indian security deployed in Kashmir,' he said. He, however, was quick to add that dialogue can be held with Kashmiri militants if they lay down weapons. 'Those willing to join dialogue process would have to denounce violence,' he added.
