Former Kashmir Militant Commander Floats Separatist Party

Srinagar: Former militant commander in Indian administered Kashmir Ghulam Ahmad Azad floated a separatist party Jammu Kashmir Awami Freedom Forum on Thursday. A meeting of the newly floated party presided over by Azad was held in north Kashmir's Baramulla district. Speaking at the occasion, Azad told his party activists, “The struggle to liberate Kashmir from the illegal occupation of India would continue. My party will strive to take the mission of the Kashmir’s martyrs to its logical conclusion.” Azad was recently released after 14 years of detention.
