Militant Wanted For Six Years Arrested

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant along with arms and ammunition in north Kashmir town of Baramulla, a police spokesman said adding the militant was active for last six years. He said a police naka party at Nanak Bhawan in Baramulla arrested Manzoor Ahmad Dar alias Khalid and seized an AK 56 rifle, two Magazines and 40 rounds of ammunition from him. Police said various security agencies were hunting for Khalid for last over six years. Khalid was an active militant in north Kashmir for the past several years and police says he was involved in many militancy-related incidents mostly in the Kreeri, Pattan and Sangrama belt .
