Six Militants Surrender In J&K

Srinagar: Six militants of two outfits, including two self-styled commanders of Harkatul-Jehadi-Islami (HUJI), surrendered before security forces in Awantipora district on Thursday. The ultras, hailing from Doda district where they were active for the last five to 15 years, gave up arms before the corps commander of city-based 15th corps Lt Gen A S Sekhon, officials said. While five of the militants belonged to HUJI, one was working for Hizbul Mujahideen, they added.
