Top Hizbul Militant Held In J&K

Jammu: A top Hizbul Mujahideen (HuM) militant was arrested with Rs 2.54 lakh hawala money on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Jammu district, official sources said on Thursday. On a tip off, police set up check posts on National Highway at Jhajar Kotli in Jammu district and intercepted a vehicle coming from Udhampur last night, they said. Hawala money amounting to Rs 2.54 lakh packed in cigarette packet was recovered from the arrested militant, identified as Manzoor Ahmed Mir of Arnas area in Reasi district. The money was meant to be delivered to HuM militants Nazir Ahmed and Masood Ali at Domail on the highway, they said. A manhunt to nab the other two militants Nazir and Masood has been launched.
