Fourth Working Group Meeting Over Kashmir On 2 September

New Delhi: The fourth working group meeting on strengthening relations between the Jammu and Kashmir government and the Centre will be held in New Delhi on 2nd September. The two-day-long meeting of the group would be held under the chairmanship of former Supreme Court judge S Saghir Ahmed, Indian national TV news portal reported here quoting official sources. On the first day, the group will discuss issues relating to regional imbalance in development and other matters and also about backward areas within Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. On September three, the issues pertaining to methods of strengthening of democracy, secularism and rule of law in the state will be discussed. Chief Information Commissioner Wajahat Habibullah will make a presentation on the subjects of discussion at the meeting. Representatives of Congress, BJP, National Conference, PDP, Kashmiri Pandits, Gujjars, trade and commerce associations are members of the working group, which was formed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
