Two Militants Killed In Kashmir

Srinagar: Two militants including a Pakistani national were killed in a gunfight while two special police officers were injured in a grenade attack in Jammu and Kashmir, where ultras also exchanged fire with a security patrol on the Srinagar-Baltal road on Sunday, police said. Unidentified militants fired on a security patrol at Mirgund-Kangan, 45 km from here in Ganderbal district. However, no one was injured in the brief gunfight, a spokesman said, adding a hunt has been launched to nab the ultras. Encounter Two militants, one of whom was identified as Pakistani national Haroon Rashid, were killed in an encounter at Patroo forest in Kupwara on Saturday. In another incident, two SPOs were injured when militants fired a rifle grenade on the Sopore police station in Baramulla district on Saturday night. The grenade exploded in the compound of the police station injuring the SPOs who were present there.
