KPs Meet Mangat, Express Willingness To Shift To Jagti

Jammu: Several deputations of Kashmiri Pandit Migrant community thronged the residence of Minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma refuting the news item published in a section of press regarding unwillingness of KPs to shift to Jagati in Nagrota. Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma, MLA Khem Lata Wakhloo, representatives of Kashmiri Pandit organizations A. N. Vaishnavi were also present. Terming the news item baseless and planned propaganda by vested interests to sabotage the Government policy of providing dignified accommodation to the displaced community, the deputationists, apprised the Minister of their eagerness to shift to Jagati. They made it clear that the statements of handful people should not be viewed seriously by the Government as majority of Kashmiri Pandit migrants are ready to move to new township at Jagati. The deputationists lauded the efforts of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in ensuring best possible facilities and infrastructure to Kashmiri Pandit migrants. Maximum policies were implemented for their socio- economic transformation, the deputationists added.
