Srinagar: Three top militants and two soldiers were killed in separate gunbattles on Tuesday. Extremists beheaded an abducted policeman in Jammu and Kashmir, where six militants were arrested and a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including four kg of RDX, was seized on Tuesday. In a fierce gunbattle lasting several hours, two army personnel and a self-styled commander of Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM) were killed at village Gamran in Bandipora district, a Defence spokesman said. He said the encounter broke out in the early hours when the troops raided a house following information about presence of militants.
