Militant Hideout Busted In J&K

Jammu: An underground hideout of Hizbul Mujahideen was busted in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, a police spokesman said on Sunday. The hideout, located in an orchard at Saidepora village of Shopian, 55 km from here, was being used by Hizbul militants for the last two years, the spokesman said. He said a police party assisted by the 166 battalion of CRPF busted the hideout during a search operation. Two quintals of rice, one quintal of flour, some blankets and other eatables were recovered from the hideout during the search, the spokesman said. However, no one was arrested during the operation. In another operation, Rashtriya Rifles recovered one under barrel grenade launcher (UBGL) with three grenades and two Chinese hand grenades from village Pastuna in Tral area of Pulwama, he added.
