Army porter injured in landmine blast

Jammu: A porter employed by the Army has been injured in a landmine blast near Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, officials said. Mohammad Imran Razak Khan, an Army porter was cutting wood when he accidentally stepped over a landmine near LoC in Sandoth area of Poonch last evening, they said. His right leg was blown up in the incident, they said adding that he was shifted to military hosptial in Rajouri district for treatment. He is stated to be in a critical condition. Khan had earlier informed troops about an Anti-Personal Mine (APM), which had drifted due to heavy rains in the same area and Army defused it yesterday, they said.
