MMA flays Musharrafs Kashmir policy

Sukkur: Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) Sindh President MNA Asadullah Bhutto on Thursday said the religio-political alliance would mark Kashmir Solidarity Day with zeal and highlight the Kashmir issue at the national and international levels. Addressing a press conference at the press club here, he said the leadership of religious parties alliance would meet relatives of martyred Kashmiris. The MMA would also hold seminars and bring out rallies and processions throughout Sindh to express solidarity with the Kashmiris. He advised President Musharraf to focus his attention on Kashmir rather than on Palestine. He alleged that India is not budging an inch from its stated position while our president has completely deviated from Pakistans principled stand. He also held Musharraf responsible for the Baglihar dam imbroglio. He stated that Kashmir is part of the Indus valley and, therefore, the battle for Kashmir is the battle for Sindh also. He condemned the registration of cases against Pesh Imams. On the MPC, he advised the PPP not to create obstacles to its success and work for the greater cause of unity among opposition parties. He denied any rift in the MMA.
