Srinagar: The moderate separatist Hurriyat conference is meeting here Thursday to discuss its coming visit to Pakistan and also a probable meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ahead of it.Abdul Gani Bhat, former chairman and spokesman of the Mirwaiz Hurriyat group, told IANS here: 'We are meeting at an extraordinary session to discuss our forthcoming visit to Pakistan and a meeting with Manmohan Singh if he has time to meet us before we leave for Pakistan.'Bhat refuted media reports that the Mirwaiz Hurriyat group would call on the prime minister Jan 17 and leave for Pakistan the next day.'No dates have been fixed either for our meeting with Manmohan Singh or for our visit to Pakistan.'Yes, we are going to Pakistan and that should not be any problem now as all of us have passports and India doesn't object to our visit. We are prepared to meet the Indian prime minister any time he has the time to meet us. But no dates have been fixed,' he said.Bhat added: 'We totally and absolutely support the ongoing efforts between India and Pakistan (for peace). Those are extremely likely to produce a respectable and acceptable resolution to the Kashmir problem.'
