Suspected militant killed in IED explosion

Jammu: A suspected militant was killed and another person injured, when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said on Thursday. The unidentified militant along with one Abdul Rasheed Naik were carrying the IED in a bag for planting it on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in the Banihal area of Doda district on Wednesday night. When they reached the Lablote area in Banihal, the IED exploded blowing up the suspected militant and critically injuring Naik who was later hospitalised, the sources said.
