Two Pak infiltrators held

Srinagar: Two infiltrators were arrested by the security forces near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Karnah Sector this morning, an official spokesperson said. Troops guarding the border noticed and challenged a group of militants infiltrating into this side from PoK and arrested them, the spokesman said. The militants have been identified as Sajad Ahmad Qureshi and Mohammad Youns Abbasi, he added. On questioning, it was revealed that a large number of militants were waiting across the border to sneak into this side, he said. A senior security force officer said that about 3000 militants, trained in different camps in PoK and Pakistan, are waiting to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir. He said more than 120 infiltrators have been killed by the security forces at the LoC in 2006. Meanwhile, a Central Reserve Police Force jawan was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a camp in Anantnag district, official sources said. The body of Constable Narayan Reddy, posted in 5th Battalion CRPF, was found inside a bathroom of the camp in Anantnag district town, the sources said. The cause of his death is being ascertained, they said.
