Large haul of ammunition in Baramulla25 December 2006 The Hindu
Srinagar: In one of the biggest hauls in recent times, the Army has unearthed a huge war-like store of ammunition in Baramulla district. Acting on a tip-off, four Army columns were launched for search in Sheeri village in the district on Sunday, a defence spokesman said on Monday. Two AK rifles, a rocket launcher, four pistols, two Underbarrel grenade launchers (UBGLs), 57 UBGL grenades, 40 hand grenades, five anti-tank grenades and seven anti-tank mines were recovered. In addition, 1,084 rounds of AK ammunitions, seven AK magazines, 32 pistol ammunition rounds, four improvised explosive devices were also recovered.
