AJK Local Body polls postponed for one year

Muzaffarabad: Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has decided to postpone Local Body election for one year here on Wednesday. local Body election will be held in March 2008. Chief Election Commission has directed to prepare computerized voting list for upcoming election. The government has decided to appoint political workers to execute the affairs of local body government. The government has decided that after one year, new election will be held according to Local Body election of Pakistan. Prime Minister of AJK Sardar Attiq Ahmad Khan said that political workers were being introduced in Local Body government in order to ensure efficiency.
