JKSM asks Indian leadership to support Musharraf's ideas

Srinagar: Demilitarisation and Self-Rule would help to ease tension between India and Pakistan over Kashmir dispute and we should support the ideas and proposals of General Musharraf who is working hard to root- out poverty in this region. These views were expressed by the senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM Zaffar Akbar Bhat while talking to the party workers of Jammu region who called on him at main office of JKSM in Rajbah. He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir would support the every effort of Pakistan and India for the resolution of Kashmir dispute. However, he condemned the approach of those politicians who want to bypass the aspirations of Kashmiri people and termed them the foes of ongoing liberation movement. 'The people of Jammu and Kashmir are main victims of this 17-year- old war and it is the time to take such type of initiatives for the permanent relief and prosperity of South Asia,' Zaffar said. He said that we would support those steps that are being taken by Islamabad and specifically we should foster the vision of General Musharraf for the permanent peace in this region. Zaffar Akbar Bhat asked National Conference NC and PDP leadership to join hands with the leadership of APHC that is sincerely working for the permanent solution of this long-standing dispute. He said we the people of Kashmir are suffering a lot and only the world leader President Musharraf who wants to settle this dispute once for all and we know President Musharraf is in favour of those initiatives that would end the era of slavery in Jammu and Kashmir. He appealed the leadership of India and Kashmir to join hands with Musharraf for the permanent settlement of Kashmir dispute.
