Seven Militants Held In J&K

Srinagar: Seven militants have been arrested by security forces in separate operations in Anantnag, Badgam and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir, a police spokesman said on Thursday. Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were arrested alongwith a hand grenade and three detonators from Pahalgam in Anantnag district on Wednesday night, the spokesman said. Another militant was arrested from Dachinpora- Panzla in the same district and two under barrel grenade launchers (UBGL) grenades, two hand grenades and five rounds of AK ammunition were recovered from him. Two militants and an upper ground worker were arrested during search operations at Banihal, Sarthal and Kewa Bojwah in Doda district on Wednesday night, the spokesman said. He said police arrested another Hizb militant from Badgam district and recovered a pistol, a magazine and eight rounds of ammunition from him.
