New Delhi: Kashmiri Pandits launched a national awakening campaign here at Jantar Mantar on Thursday to inform the masses about the threat posed by global terrorism. Launched under the aegis of the All India Kashmiri Samaj, the objective of the campaign is to make the people aware of the threat posed by 'jehadi' terrorism. As part of the campaign, a candlelight procession was taken out at Jantar Mantar where tributes were paid to those who had laid down their lives in Kashmir and other parts of the country. Former Bharatiya Janata Party leaders Madan Lal Khurana and Uma Bharati participated in the campaign to express their solidarity with the cause of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits. Speaking on the occasion, All India Kashmiri Samaj president M. K. Kaw said India still did not have a concrete policy in place to deal with terrorism despite Pakistan openly aiding and abetting terrorist activities.
