Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has demanded that the United Nations persuade Islamabad to repeal the 'undemocratic' electoral laws in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Recently the PoK Election Commission rejected JKLF nominations. Talking to The Hindu , JKLF chief Amanullah Khan said: 'We have contacted the United Nations and asked them to help repeal the draconian electoral laws.' 'These are not only against the principles envisaged in the U.N. Charter and against the basics of democracy but also contradictory to Pakistan's claim of supporting Kashmiris' right to self-determination.'
