Mirpur: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Azad Kashmir Justice Muhammad Riaz Akhtar Chaudhry has said that with the exception of India, observers from across the world will be invited to review polling for general elections in Azad Kashmir. Talking to Online on Saturday, the CEC said that every possible step would be taken to ensure transparency in the elections. 'Bid for rigging in polls from any candidate will be thwarted and every one to be bound for the code of conduct', he said. About the condition of showing of National Identity Card (NIC) to cast vote, the CEC noted that different opinions were being received in this respect, as leaders of some parties were opposing this condition while others were favoring it. He said that most of the people of Azad Kashmir and Kashmiri refugees living in Pakistan welcomed the condition of showing NIC for casting vote and said that this condition created hope for them to cast their vote.
