Jammu: Normal life was paralysed for the third day in a row on Wednesday in Doda as the district observed a bandh to protest the massacre of 22 Hindus on Monday night. Shops and business establishments remained closed and there was very thin traffic on the roads. Sources said over 400 grieving Hindu families from Kulhand and its adjoining areas had migrated to Doda and were demonstrating against the central and state governments with demands like permanent establishment of army pickets in and around the village and recruitment of minority youth in the state police. However, the authorities denied the migration from Kulhand and said they'd come to Doda just to press for their demands. The multi-tier hunt launched by security forces to nab the militants behind the massacre has failed to yield results so far.
